About Me

Since I was a small child, I have sensed beings and presences that others could not see. That early awareness set me on a lifelong path, one that has led me through the halls of clinical psychology and into the ancient, earth-based wisdom of my ancestors. I have always known that I was called to be in service of others: a healer, in whatever form that would take.

The Call to Psychology

That calling first led me to formally study Clinical Psychology. I hold a Doctorate degree in Psychology with a concentration in Children and Families of Adversity and Resilience. My clinical specialty includes supporting women who are healing from complex trauma and early childhood abuse. As a trauma survivor myself, my personal experience has given me an intimate understanding of what my clients carry and what it takes to move through it.

I also spent approximately 10 years of my career working with refugees and displaced persons specifically. It was my great honor and privilege to support my refugee clients through psychotherapy and trauma recovery, psychological assessment, as well as serving as the Director of Research for an international humanitarian aid organization providing post-disaster relief. This work deepened my understanding of trauma not only as a personal experience, but as something communities and lineages carry together.

Completing this intensive training opened the door for me to deepen into my ancestral wisdom practices. I set out on a quest to reconnect with the pre-colonial indigenous practices of Alba (Scotland), Ériu (Ireland), Cymru (Wales), and Albion (Britain). In 2024, I began practicing and studying Druidry, an earth-based wisdom tradition of the diverse Celtic peoples of Western Europe and the British Isles. Reconnecting with my pre-colonial indigenous roots has been a potent and meaningful practice in decolonization. Over the years, I have intentionally sought decolonization training and practices to inform my professional practice and to unlearn the colonial over-culture that continues to cause immense harm today. The Call to Shamanic Healing

After becoming a mother, I entered a period of initiation where I received the call to more fully honor and develop my spiritual gifts. In 2021, I began a 3-year Shamanic Healing Practitioner training with Suu Feathers, where I studied the following healing arts and was initiated into the practice of shamanic healing:

  • Divination

  • Ritual, Ceremony, and Partnering with the Natural World

  • Power Retrieval and Soul Retrieval

  • Cord Releasing, Extraction, and Curse Unraveling

  • Healing Wounds from Other Lifetimes

  • Healing Wounds in Ancestral Lineages

  • Psychopomping

  • Ethics and the Practitioner

How These Two Paths Meet

My background in Clinical Psychology and complex trauma continues to inform my shamanic practice. Psychology offers healing for the mind and heart. Shamanic healing offers healing for the soul, spirits, ancestors, natural world, and the greater whole of humanity. Both matter, and both have their place. Psychotherapy is often an essential support at the beginning of a healing journey, and can help with processing and metabolizing trauma. Shamanic healing goes further, reconnecting you to yourself, the natural world, and the spirit realm at the deepest level to heal one of the most pervasive wounds of our time- disconnection from self and others.

You are a spiritual being having a human experience, and you arrived in this world carrying gifts meant to serve something larger than yourself. Shamanic healing is the practice of remembering that sacred self, healing ancestral wounds, tending the soul, and returning to a more nourishing relationship with the natural world and the spirit realms.

As a clairsentient and deeply empathic person, Water has become one of my closest allies and wisdom teachers, alongside the many beings of the natural world who continually remind me of the beauty and complexity of our interconnection with Mother Earth.

You are warmly invited to join me on this journey of learning, healing, & remembering.
